Several years ago a distant relative from Germany found me online. Here's the background..... In 1851 my g-g-g-grandparents, Jacob and Marie Storm left Pommern for Wisconsin, leaving Jacob's brother Martin Storm behind. An amazing number of Jacob and Marie's descendants live in Kewaunee Co., Manitowoc Co., and Brown Co. I let this distant cousin know I was vacationing in Germany and she responded with an invitation to stay several days at her home. After spending a day with her daughter Astrid in Dueseldorf, I took a train to Bremen and visited with Helga and her family. I was interested in seeing the statue to the Brementown Musicians and seeing the place where my Kratz and Kasten ancestors got on boats to leave for America.
